Sponsored by Amstill Roofing LLC, a roofing company with its principal place of business at  14125 Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77079 (the “Sponsor”).

 

BUYING WILL NOT HELP YOU WIN.  YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING WITHOUT MAKING A PURCHASE ARE THE SAME AS THE CHANCES OF SOMEONE WHO PURCHASES SOMETHING.  IT IS ILLEGAL TO GIVE ANY ADVANTAGE TO BUYERS IN A SWEEPSTAKES.

 

1. Eligibility

The Amstill Roofing Free Roof Giveaway (“Giveaway”) is open only to U.S. military veterans, active duty service members, and current and former first responders who are legal residents whose primary residence is located within Sponsor’s official service area. Participants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and must own and reside in the single-family residential home being entered. The home must be the participant’s primary residence; rental properties, vacation homes, and commercial buildings are not eligible..

 

“Veterans” and “active duty service members” must have served/be serving honorably in one of the six main branches of the U.S. Armed Forces: the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, or Space Force. “First responders” include firefighters, law enforcement officers, and paramedics or EMTs.

 

To enter, participants must complete the official entry form found at www.AmstillRoofing.com/giveaway, at a Sponsor event, or in person at the Amstill Roofing office located at 14125 Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77079. Duplicate or incomplete entries may be disqualified. Employees, officers, directors of Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, or immediate family members of or persons living in the same household as such individuals are not eligible to enter.

 

2. How to Enter

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

To enter:

1. Complete the official entry form available online at www.AmstillRoofing.com/giveaway, at a Sponsor event, or in person at the Sponsor office located at 14125 Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77079;
2. Submit documentation verifying veteran status (DD-214 or other acceptable military service record), active duty (valid active duty military ID card) or first responder status (recent pay stub or an official letter from an employer confirming past or present employment in a qualifying role); and
3. Submit at least one (1) photograph of the condition of your current roof. Photo needs to be a clear unobstructed photo of the front of the house.

Only one (1) entry per household per entry period is permitted. Duplicate, incomplete, or illegible entries may be disqualified.

 

3. Entry Period

The Giveaway entry period begins at 12:00 AM Central Time on 6/4/2025 and ends at 11:59 PM Central Time on 8/31/2025. All entries must be actually received within this timeframe to be eligible. Entries submitted before or after the entry period will not be considered. Non-winning entries will not roll over into any future promotions.

 

4. Prize

One winner will receive a free residential roof replacement for their primary residence, including materials and labor, using asphalt shingles, approximate retail value (ARV) up to $20,000 as of the date of winner selection. Prior to awarding the prize, Sponsor will conduct a roof inspection to verify eligibility and assess the condition of the existing roof. Prize includes only standard asphalt shingles and does not include upgrades such as tile, metal, or specialty systems. Prize does not include: structural repairs beyond standard decking replacement (up to 128 square feet), foundation work, electrical work, plumbing modifications, HVAC work, interior repairs, landscaping restoration, fence repairs, or any work not directly related to roof replacement.  If the roof inspection reveals any of the following conditions, Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify the selected winner and choose an alternate eligible entrant: (a) structural damage requiring engineering assessment; (b) evidence of significant code violations; (c) hazardous materials (asbestos, lead, etc.); (d) access limitations that would require special equipment exceeding standard installation procedures; (e) roof design complexity that would cause installation costs to exceed 150% of the stated prize value; or (f) local permit restrictions that would delay installation beyond 2 months.  Winner acknowledges that the actual scope of work will be determined by Sponsor’s professional roof inspection and may be modified to stay within the maximum prize value.  If modifications to the home’s structure, electrical, or other systems are required to complete the roof installation, these are the winner’s responsibility and expense.  The prize is non-transferable, may not be substituted, and cannot be exchanged for cash. No warranties or guarantees are made except those expressly provided by Sponsor in the normal course of business.  Winner is required to disclose if permits or HOA approval is needed for this project.

 

5. Winner Selection & Notification

Following the close of the entry period, the winner will be selected based on the following criteria:

1. Age and condition of existing roof
2. Financial hardship
3. Structural condition of the residence
4. Career Accolades

A selection panel composed of Harris County Constables and respected members of the local community who have no affiliation with Sponsor other than being invited to participate in the selection process will evaluate all eligible entries and select a group of approximately 20 finalists according to these criteria. Selection will occur between 9/1/2025 and 9/30/2025.  The decision of the panel is final.

Each finalist will be notified by phone and/or email on or about 10/1/2025.  Each finalist must:

1. Respond to the notification within five (5) business days;
2. Provide proof of home ownership (such as a deed, mortgage statement or property tax document) and homeowner’s insurance; and
3. Allow Sponsor to access their property and conduct a complimentary roof inspection. The findings from these inspections will be shared with the panel to assist in making a fair and informed decision.

Finalists who do not comply with these requirements may be disqualified and replaced with an alternate eligible entrant.

 

One (1) final winner will be selected by the panel based on the evaluation criteria. The winner will be notified via phone and/or email within seven (7) days of the panel’s decision.  The winner must:

 

1. Respond to the notification within five (5) business days;
2. Sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release within ten (10) days of notification;
3. Be available for roof installation during the designated installation period; and
4. Execute such further instruments and other documents, and take such actions, as Sponsor shall reasonably request in order to effectuate the roof installation.

Failure to comply with these requirements may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner from the remaining finalists.

Winner must maintain adequate homeowner’s insurance throughout the installation process. Winner must notify their insurance carrier of the roof replacement and ensure coverage remains in effect.  Winner agrees to indemnify Sponsor for any claims arising from inadequate insurance coverage.

 

6. Taxes and 1099

The winner is solely responsible for any applicable federal, state, and local taxes associated with the prize. If the prize value exceeds $600, Sponsor will issue a 1099-MISC tax form to the winner.  The winner may wish to consult a tax professional regarding tax implications of entering this Giveaway.

 

7. Publicity

By entering, participants agree that Sponsor may use their name, likeness, address (city/state), photograph, voice, statements, and biographical information for promotional purposes in all media without further compensation unless otherwise prohibited by federal, state, or local law.

 

8. Privacy

Information collected in connection with this Giveaway will be used in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policies and these Terms and Conditions. By participating, entrants authorize the Sponsor to collect, use, and disclose their personal information for the purpose of administering the Giveaway and prize fulfillment. 9. General Conditions

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the giveaway if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond its reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Giveaway as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or operation of the Giveaway or to be acting in violation of these Terms and Conditions or any other promotion in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.  Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, or misdirected entries.

Sponsor shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these Terms and Conditions which is due to fire, flood, earthquake, pandemic, governmental restrictions, labor disputes, supplier delays, material shortages, acts of war, terrorism, or other circumstances beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control (“Force Majeure Event”). In the event of a Force Majeure Event:

1. Installation timeline may be extended without penalty to Sponsor.
2. Sponsor may substitute materials of equal or greater value if specified materials become .unavailable.
3. If a Force Majeure Event makes prize fulfillment impossible for more than 6 months, Sponsor may, at its sole discretion: (a) provide a cash equivalent up to the maximum prize value; (b) select an alternate winner; or (c) cancel the remaining prize obligation.
4. Winner will be notified promptly of any Force Majeure Event affecting their prize.

 

10. Limitation of Liability

By entering, entrants release and hold harmless Sponsor and their affiliates from any liability, claim, or damage arising out of participation in the giveaway or acceptance/use of the prize. This release includes, without limitation, any claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.

Winner acknowledges and agrees that:

 

1. Entry into this Giveaway is voluntary and at winner’s own risk.
2. Sponsor makes no warranties regarding the condition of winner’s property or its suitability for roof replacement.
3. Winner assumes all risk of property damage beyond the scope of standard roof installation.
4. Winner releases Sponsor from any claims related to: (a) delays in installation due to weather, permits, or material availability; (b) temporary inconvenience during installation; (c) minor property disturbance inherent in roofing work; (d) any pre-existing conditions discovered during installation; (e) compliance with HOA requirements or deed restrictions.
5. Winner acknowledges that roofing work may reveal pre-existing issues that are not covered by this prize.

 

11. Official Communications

By checking the optional marketing consent box in the entry form, participants agree to receive promotional communications from Sponsor. This consent is separate from contest entry and can be withdrawn at any time. Sponsor will not share participant information with third parties for marketing purposes without additional consent.

All official communications regarding this Giveaway will be conducted via the contact information provided in the entry form. Winner is responsible for:

1. Maintaining current and accurate contact information
2. Monitoring email (including spam/junk folders) and voicemail
3. Responding to communications within specified timeframes
4. Designating an alternate contact person if winner will be unavailable during notification or installation periods

 

Sponsor may, but is not required to, attempt multiple contact methods or extend deadlines for good cause shown in writing.

 

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

All issues and questions concerning these Official Rules shall be governed by Texas law without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules. Any legal proceedings must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.

 

13. Winner List

For the name of the winner, available after 11/1/2025, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to : Amstill Roofing, LLC, Attn: Amstill Roofing Free Roof Giveaway, 14125 Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77079. Requests must be received by 11/30/2025.
